Program Notes:

How Theo Changed His Name (Lyrics by Darren Canady) is a song cycle that tells the story of the relationship between a priest and his goddess, and how he ultimately finds redemption for a great betrayal.  The piece was the result of a composer/librettist workshop run by the Pittsburgh Symphony and led by Derek Bermel and Wendy S. Walters.
